LAKE is a pretty village, in the parish of Brading, and included in the ecclesiastical parish of Sandown, from which place it is a mile west, on the Ryde and Ventnor road, situated in a valley about halt a mile from the sea.
The Iron church has been removed here from Gatton. There are about 80 sittings.
The Bible Christians have a chapel here, erected 1877, with about 100 seats.
