Kingston is the smallest parish in the Isle of Wight, it contained 66 inhabitants in 1871, and comprises 914 acres of land. The parish includes part of Atherfield. |
William George Ward, Esq., is the lord of the manor and principle landowner. |
The church is a small antique fabric and was restored in 1871, when it was newly roofed, the south porch rebuilt, and a vestry erected on the south side. The incumbent is the Rev. J. B. Atkinson, of West Cowes. |
