Kingston is the smallest parish in the Isle of Wight, it contained 66 inhabitants in 1871, and comprises 914 acres of land. The parish includes part of Atherfield.

William George Ward, Esq., is the lord of the manor and principle landowner.

The church is a small antique fabric and was restored in 1871, when it was newly roofed, the south porch rebuilt, and a vestry erected on the south side. The incumbent is the Rev. J. B. Atkinson, of West Cowes.
