In 1814 the Rev. Noel Digby, a late rector, gave a cottage and 20A. 3R. 17P. of land for the foundation of a National School for 17 poor children of Brixton and 3 of Mottiston parish. The cottage and land have been sold and the proceeds invested in the Funds. The school was built in 1837, at the cost of 390GBP, and enlarged in 1845, at the cost of 105GBP. |
