Chillerton is a hamlet of scattered farms and cottages in the parishes of Carisbrooke and Wootton, principally in the former ; it is 4 to 5 miles south of Newport and 3 from Carisbrooke Castle.
The Bible Christians have a newly-erected chapel, built of brick, to hold 100 persons.
There is also a Wesleyan chapel.
The principal landowner is Charles Seely, esq.
